Plain yogurt with maple syrup

Amber Vermont Maple syrup pairs remarkably well with plain yogurt, thanks to the vanilla and buttery flavors complementing dairy. Simple.

Vanillin in maple syrup is from lignin, which is the woody part of the maple tree and the buttery notes are from diacetyl, which is a product of natural fermentation of the sap before boiling.
